Wonju-si to facilitate SMEs' entry to the Vietnamese market
Wonju-si, Gangwon-do is set to develop the Vietnamese market.
The Wonju-si delegation, led by Deputy Mayor Kim Tae-hoon will visit Vietnam on May 7-10 to "expand the sales channels for outstanding SMEs".
The visit, following the footsteps of the visit to the US for market development in October last year, will be accompanied by Gangwon State Economic Promotion Agency and Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley.
The first in the schedule is the MOU with Hanoi Branch of the World Korean International Trade Association to help expansion of exports of Wonju-based excellence SMEs.
The MOU contains cooperation for expansion in the Vietnamese market, including marketing promotion activities to stimulate distribution in the Vietnamese market and information exchange on Vietnamese market trends.
It will be followed by participation of 10 excellent local companies from the food and cosmetics industries in the export consultation with influential buyers in Hanoi on May 8.
The delegation will also visit Thai Binh Province to promote export expansion of medical products from Wonju.
It will also participate in the Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition 2024 on May 9, exchanging information on domestic and foreign healthcare companies and seek opportunities to expand overseas markets.
