GWTO promoted tourism to Gangwon in Bangkok, Thailand

The Gangwon Tourism Organization (GWTO) announced on August 22 that it will participate in the 47th Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, from on August 27-29 to promote tourism in Gangwon.

More than 1,000 buyers from about 50 countries around the world will participate in this Travel Mart.

GWTO plans to promote the province's tourism in the event, introducing major MICE (Meetings, Incentives Travel, Conventions, and Exhibitions/Events) destinations in the region.

On August 26, a day prior ro the event, Gangwon plans to hold a Gangwon tourism briefing session for the local travel agencies and media to intensively promote the provincial tourism contents including K-Wave and wellness, and induce the development of tourism products.

GWTO's President said, "we will promote various appeals of travel in Gangwon in this event, and do our best to attract Thailand inbound tourists in the upcoming winter season," adding "we will actively develop new tourism products in collaboration with local governments and travel agencies."
