Hoengseong-gun to participate in 2024 World Smart City Expo, showcasing vision for future city
Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon State, will participate in the "2024 World Smart City Expo" (WSCE) to be held at KINTEX in Ilsan on September 3-5, showcasing Hoengseong's vision.
At this event under the theme of sustainable future city, Hoengseong-gun will focus on promoting the pgoress of the creation of Hoengseong-gun regional hub smart city, which was selected for the public competition project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2021.
The county will introduce e-mobility transporation system in Dunnam-myeon, which has weakess in public transportation, by utilizing advanced technologies including AI and ICT, and build a smart workation center for work and vacation.
The county plans to implement a comprehensive model blending work and rest, and tourism and innovation, aiming to increase the population and continuously spreading smart cities customized to farming and fising villages.
