According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Global control system experts will gather in Jeju for an international conference in 2020.

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced that it attracted 'IEEE Conference on Decision and Control 2020' to Jeju through joint efforts with the Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and the Jeju Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Started in 1962, the annual conference is regarded as the world’s most prestigious academic event in the field of control system.

Around 1,700 scholars attend the event every year to share 1,200 research papers on smart grid, automobile control, production automation, robotics, and network communication.

So far this year, the KTO has succeeded in attracting a series of large-scale international conferences including the Asia-Oceanian Conference of Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine 2020 and the International Conference on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 2022 to Jeju.
