According to Yonhap News,

(JEJU=Yonhap News)The second Jeju MICE EXPO will be held at the International Convention Center Jeju from November 24 to 26, 2016.

MICE is a term which refers to high value-added tourism: meetings, incentive tours, conventions, and exhibitions.

The event, hosted by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and organized by the Jeju Convention Bureau, will draw more than 500 participants including 35 MICE buyers from nine countries, 39 buyers from Korea, and representatives from 65 MICE organizations.

Jeju's MICE companies will have one-on-one business meetings with international and domestic buyers to seek ways for business expansion.

The Korea MICE Association will separately organize the 'Asia-Pacific MICE Business Exchange Meeting' with the MICE Associations of China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Guam to have a discussion on 'the changing market and the sustainable MICE industry in the Asia Pacific region'.

"We hope that Jeju's small-scale MICE companies can meet and communicate with various buyers and industry representatives at home and abroad to actively respond to changes in the global MICE market and to open up new markets," a local official responsible for tourism policy said.
