(JEJU=Newsis News) Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it will give financial support to companies participating in this year's food trade fairs and exhibitions in a bid to promote the province's processed food to domestic and foreign buyers.

A total of 10 food fairs and exhibitions are scheduled this year, including the Korea National Food Direct dealing Expo in March, the International Natural Products Expo 2017 in April, the 2017 Seoul Int'l Seafood Show in May, and the 24th Busan International Food Expo in June.

Eligible candidates are food manufacturing and processing companies located in Jeju. Selected companies will be provided with KRW 3 million for exhibition booth and basic equipment setup to display and promote agricultural products.

Companies for the support will be selected after review by the local subsidy deliberation committee according to the Local Subsidy Management Ordinance.
