(JEJU=Newsis News) Jeju Special Self-governing Province announced Mar. 13 that it will launch a special project to develop eco-cultural programs for Gotjawal Forest.

Through the project, the island province will inㅍest KRW 100 million in developing ecotourism programs that utilize the forest's natural resources, such as indigenous ferns, shrubs and fireflies, as well as the cultural history of the local population.

Various efforts to promote the project will take place as well, including forums and seminars on how to preserve Gotjawal Forest, valued for its geological and ecological resources.
