According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced July 31 that it will be holding the 5th Asia Cruise Forum Jeju from August 24 to 27 at the International Convention Center on Jeju Island.

For the event, the ministry has invited European cruise ship builders to participate in info sessions on cruise ship building equipment businesses.

To help Korean shipbuilding equipment companies to enter European cruise ship markets, the ministry had earlier requested European cruise ship builders to attend the upcoming forum.

As a result, Italy's Fincantieri and Germany's Meyer Werft have agreed to participate in the info sessions, set to take place on the second day of the forum.

Representatives of the two European companies will make presentations on the current status and outlook of the cruise ship market, and take questions from Korean companies.

Fincantieri and Meyer Werft are also scheduled to engage in business meetings with Korean shipbuilding equipment companies during the forum.
