Jeju Cosmetic Certification (JCC) to Differentiate "Made in Jeju" Products

According to Yonhap News,

(JEJU=Yonhap News) Companies manufacturing Jeju Cosmetic Cert (JCC) products will work together to differentiate made in Jeju products. Jeju Cosmetic means a product made in Jeju that is comprised with 5 to 10 percent of ingredients from Jeju and uses pure water from Jeju during the manufacuring process.

The Jeju Cosmetic Cert Business Association, which is a group of businesses manufacturing products that received JCC, announced on September 5 that it has become a corporation.

The Association was established as a voluntary association with 12 companies in May, and its purpose is to contribute to the economic development of Jeju and Korea by creating organic cooperation system with government organizations including Jeju Province.

The transition to a corporate increased its members to 22 companies.

It will facilitate active communication between the member companies and strive to solve common difficulties within the industry. It will also make efforts to secure common market and publicize the value of Jeju cosmetics.

JCC is an official certification system approved by the governor of Jeju and has been implemented since May 2016 by the local governments. As of today, 161 products from 35 companies obtained the certification.
