Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) and Shinhan Bank signed a memorandum of understanding to attract Korean and foreign investments and jointly promote globalization at the Shinhan Bank headquarters on November 9.

With this MoU, JDC and Shinhan Bank agreed to cooperate in promoting investment in Korean and foreign businesses as well as leading the regional strategic industries.

Under this agreement, JDC will receive support for investment hosting activities such as active searches for potential companies that may want to open their offices on Jeju Island by utilizing Shinhan Bank’s overseas branch networks in China, Japan, Vietnam, and others.

Park Hyun-chul, director of the Investment and Development Division of JDC, said, “I hope this agreement will lay the groundwork for JDC to promote international trade activities in Jeju and also strengthen and support win-win projects for regional development.”
