Jeju province announced on March 19 that is set three strategies and will invest KRW 10 billion to rise as the center of global MICE.

The province set three strategies: balanced development of Jeju's MICE industry; creating demand for MICE home and abroad and expanding the market of Jeju's MICE marketing industry; and improving the quality of Jeju's MICE services

By balancing infrastructure of MICE industry and software including human resources and services, the foundation for the MICE industry will be strengthened, and fostering the exhibition sector, used to be pointed as the weakness of Jeju's MICE industry.

Also, the island will provide customized service to MICE attendees through 'big data' analysis in connection with public wifi, while concentrating efforts on developing Jeju-type specialized exhibition to make most use of multi-purpose facilities to be completed in March 2022.

Last year, the province attracted 178 MICE, exceeding the original goal of 170.
