On July 21, Jeju announced that it is to launch a support program for 10 companies selected through public competition for star enterprises and review process.

"Star enterprises" are SMEs with high growth potential, expected to contribute to the community in such ways as creating jobs and added-values.

Newly selected star companies include BK bio, Jekiss, and Daeryun Engineering, among others.

Adding up to nine companies selected last year, there are 19 Star enterprises in Jeju.

If selected, the companies are to receive consultation on their future plans and support related with innovative activities, for up to five years.

In addition, they are provided with training programs about management, leadership, marketing, and growth strategy, and receive systematic management from specialized project managers.
