(JEJU=Yonhap News) The 6th FARMING + JEJU Fair, a place to discuss and promote the value and the way to go for the 6th Industry, opens from Oct 12-14 at the Jeju Int'l convention center (Jeju ICC).
More than a hundred institutions, businesses from 9 countries come together to join this three day fair, entitled 'The 6th Industry, add value to our future'.
Buyers meeting, the hottest session for the visitors', will be held for two days from the beginning of the event (10 a.m., Oct 12) till the very next day (5 p.m., Oct 13), at the second floor of the same venue.
For this show, buyers of 14 different companies overseas have a one-on-one business meeting to learn more of products and services provided through the platform.
The committee who orchestrated the fair says they've already reached a purchase agreement worth nearly USD 150,000 reportedly. The The 6th FARMING + JEJU Fair provides unique programs for discussion and presentation, raising issues of 'now and the future of the 6th Industry','the trends and the outlook of the market','to make business commercially available with better marketing strategy' and 'sharing successful model of the business home and abroad'.
A series of extra events for entertainment are ready to welcome the audiences there. Actor Won Ki-jun and Chef Kim so-Bong, born in Jeju, will run a cooking show using well-known local dishes, the red-banded lobster and Jeju black pork. Other food shows and caricature events available on site will also take place.
