According to Yonhap News,
Near the Sinyang Fishing Port in Chooja, Jeju, an offshore marina resort will be newly established.

Jeju Island announced on Feb. 28 that the provincial authorities set a construction plan, which aims to complete the entire process till the end of next year, to accommodate the small port for leisure and entertainment, where a dozen of vessels can come to anchor alongside the facility.

Reviewing a feasibility test result for the project, predicted to come to an end in October, authorities go to the next phase for budgeting. Apart from fishing port, marina, sometimes called ‘small port’, is a specially designed harbor with moorings for pleasure craft and small boats, The total number of leisure boats and sailors officially licensed in Korea as of 2019 is 23,639 and 245,000, respectively.
