Jeju Island to give financial support to 11 local businesses who take part in food expos nationwide

Jeju Island gives a financial support to businesses who take part in food expos nationwide. The provincial authorities announced on Mar. 8 the plan which mainly aims to help 11 local dairy food producers and processors grappling with the economic fallout from the coronavirus epidemics stay sustainable.

Businesses who joins six different expos and fair shows at national level such as “2020 Int’l Food Industry Exhibition, Seoul” or “The 27th Busan Int’l Food Expo” will become the potential candidates to be given the service.

The service coverage extends from booth rental costs worth KRW 5 million to extra rental fee to decorate the interior on site.

Starting from this support measures, the provincial authorities plans to provide another cash grants valued around KRW 3 million, mainly targeting businesses attending local farmers’ market.
