A construction project to establish a marine leisure experience center, regional marine ecosystems hub near the Seogwipo city offsore, will be underway.
Jeju Island announced on May 18 that the provincial authorities are ready to push for the plan, aiming to make use of beautiful ocean view near the place as natural resources to attract tourists.
The center, expected to cost as much as KRW 17.3 billion in total, will accommodate divers’ experience zone, artificial pools, exhibition rooms etc., leaving natural landscape untouched near tiny islands.
The provincial government passed a bill for public space auditing at the preliminary meeting held on May 15, prior to the construction project.
