According to Yonhap News,

The city of Busan and Jeju Island signed an inter-city MOU on Jul 28 for data sharing partnership and business cooperation, which aims to jointly secure wide pool of data (bigdata) for public good through concerted efforts in improving quality of citizen’s life and local economy.

Both cities push on a broad range of tasks: joint research work to set up policies, sharing data-analytics techniques and achievements, co-sponsorship for local events designed for HR training and data exchange.

This year, above all, the authorities seek to form data-driven networks to share administrative information, establish a big-data center, be informed on big data analytics and run workshops.
