JCB to launch a program to help MICE industry battered by the epidemic

Jeju Convention Bureau (JCB) said on Oct 26 the launch of a biz-support program, promoting digital marketing and smart workplace in local MICE (an acronym which stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) industry hit hard by the ongoing coronavirus-induced economic shock. Businesses selected to benefit from the program are able to join marketing services: social media marketing service, online PR service and contact free sales promotion activities etc.

JCB also covers part of business expenses to start cloud computing services, smart office programs and install hard/software programs to host web-based seminars.

Among those who’re authorized to serve as event organizers, candidates who’ve run conferences, seminars or events with over a hundred guests more than three times within two years are allowed to go through screening process to work with JCB.

Anyone interested in the program can visit JCB’s official website and sign up until Oct 30. Financial aid for the program is reported to amount to up to KRW 5 million each.
