According to Yonhap News,

Locally grown Jeju-cabbages were exported to Russia for the first time. The city said on Feb 23 that an agricultural cooperative’s joint market in Aewol shipped cabbages, which weighs nearly 20 tons, to Russia’s Vladivostok.

The export to Russia is anticipated to drive up sales for farmers facing uncertainties amid the growing woes over the coronavirus-led recession which has resulted in contraction both in market demand and consumption.

Farmers in the community set a plan to gradually increase the shipping volume up to 1,000 tons once customer feedback in Russia is positive.
