A global conference to call for coordinated action to tackle climate change, Jeju Forum, was held on Mar 27. In celebration of the annual event, Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) hosted an open discussion at the Internatioanl Convention Center Jeju (ICC Jeju). The head of JDC delivered a welcome speech, and the governor sent a congratulatory message to the event attendees.

At the discussion session, the trade ministry affiliate, Electricity Regulatory Committee (ERC)’s chair, a manager at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the head of Jeju Future Strategy Agency presented as keynote speakers, sharing insights and thoughts on the latest trends and outlook of the energy industry.

Following the session, another round of in-depth discussion inviting academia-business representatives took place.

Attendees and guests of the event all reached a consensus to run a package of cross-sector projects, forming a private-public alliance to fight against climate change.
