An R&D center testing dermatologic sciences to drive growth in the functional cosmetics industry will be established in Jeju Island.
The provincial authorities announced the kickoff in the center construction on Apr 12 since the project has been picked out as part of the trade ministry’s 2021 initiatives. To proceed the plan, Jeju Province will spend as much as KRW 5.8 billion, adding national budgets of KRW 4 billion over the next three years by the end of 2023.
The clinical lab will help form online platforms to provide tech-support (for prototyping simulation/ efficacy assessment and analysis) and test equipment, while running an HR training programs to foster industry specialists.
