Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) said on May 5 that it has secured nearly KRW 400 million as its business support package designed to offer open-access to public data resources has been selected by the administration ministry.

The project aims to help match public institutions in need of data formation and processing to tech-businesses armed with data technologies, thereby building publicly available data sources open to everyone with no other mechanisms of control.

The services picked out this time are set to be used for tangerine farming and for handling stress at work.

By running an internship program, letting 32 young students take part in the program, JDC will support industry-academia partnership, through which undergraduate students can experience on-site career training for seven months.
