2 unknown investors unveiled plans to set up int’l schools in Jeju

A couple of international schools have unveiled their letter of intent to establish educational institutions in Jeju Global Education City. Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) announced the MOU signing on May 17 with these potential investors to set up international schools in the community district. Due to request for anonymity under the contract agreed upon, detailed information on who’s the investors and the official name of the corporate bodies remains unknown.

JDC said it has already completed the very first stage of screening process to substantiate pre-feasibility of the investment plan, assessing financial stability and soundness, along with their performance as educational organizations.

Going forward to the second round of reviewing process to verify qualifications, JDC is set to initiate the land purchasing (or leasing) and authorization for school opening following deliberation with Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education.
