On May 27, Shinhan Financial Group Hope Foundation said that it signed MOU with Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) at Shinhan Financial Group headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul on May 26, to foster startups in Jeju and create an innovative growth ecosystem
JDC is a national public corporation under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and operates Route 330 inside Jeju Science Park to identify and foster startups in ICT and mobility areas, helping startups through provision of office spaces and investment linkage.
The two institutions are to cooperate on exchange and promotion of programs, recommendation of startups, and provision of spaces, according to the MOU.
Cho Yong-byoung, Chairman of the Board of Shinhan Financial Group Hope Foundation (Shinhan Financial Group CEO) said at MOU signing ceremony that "We will support startups in Jeju and build an innovative ecosystem, contributing to revitalizing local economy.'
