According to Yonhap News,

Jeju Province and Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO) said on June 8 that it had selected five companies to participate "2021 Challenge! J-Startup", a project to find tourism startups.

The selected companies are: reme:D which suggested a pet-accompanying one-stop service platform business; Blocally Company that applied for a vegan beauty brand and tourist experience space service utilizing Jeju's agricultural products; Sleeping Lion that suggested Jeju's natural landscape sound service; Pink Raptors which suggested a tourism program providing tourists with hands-one experience of what they learned via on-line class; and Haenyeo's Kitchen which applied for Home Meal Replacement (HMR) business.

JTO will provide customized consulting to five companies to help them enter Jeju's tourism market for the next 4 months.

With the consulting, the companies would complement their business items, carry out demonstration on the market, and strengthen capability to attract investment and secure stable financial resources.

They will also hold IRs inviting investment experts and domestic startups, followed by final evaluation on their business potential and CEO's capabilities.

The companies finally selected after the above process will be designated as 'J-Startup', Jeju's representative tourism startup, receiving a total of KRW 100 million awards (a winner receives up to KRW 50 million).

They will also sign an agreement with JTO, playing a role as a joint partnership for advancement of Jeju's tourism.
