Jeju Special Self-Governing Province said on July 19 that it is engaged in working-level discussion with the Korea-Arab Society (KAS) for exchange methods.

Jeju's governor sat across the Ambassadors of Arab countries at the table at a forum on June 25 held during the 16th Jeju Forum, delivering message of "I wish a permanent peace and prosperity in the Middle East". Since then, Jeju and the KAS have discussed on how to improve exchanges.

The Province plans to encourage active participation of Jeju in various Korea-Arab friendship projects including Korea-Arab Startup idea contest, etc., run by the KAS.

Also, Jeju will invite Arab leaders residing in Korea to discuss implementation measures for Jeju's tourism industry and exchanges in the medical and tourism area.

An official from Jeju provincial government said, "By taking this chance, we will provide Jeju residents with opportunity to understand Arab's culture better and diversify countries for exchange". .
