According to Yonhap News,

Jeju-do and Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO) announced on August 8 that they will embark on Jeju-style Digital New Deal Project in tourism.

A New Deal Project on building a big data center and public data submitted by Jeju-do and JTO has been selected as the government's digital new deal project.

A project organizer, JTO, is set to establish 'Jeju tourism big data center', a culture big data platform, along with the Korea Tour Pass and

By carrying out this project, it would become able to collect and analyze public and private data dispersed throughout Jeju over the next 3 years, and publicize, distribute, and trade them.

Besides, a project to build data on tourists walk along Jeju footpath will proceed until December this year.

The JTO, as a project organizer, will be supported with national funding for expenses on personnel and data management, and the youth internships.

The data actually measured to complement and advance big data will be made public on public data portal.
