According to Yonhap News,

Jeju Province announced on October 11 that it has successfully completed its first mission in the drone special free zone, and will continue to push for drone flights all around Jeju island such as coast and Mountain Halla.

The province, applying the Special Flight Approval (Article 129-5, Aviation Safety Act) and the Safety Certification (Article 124, Aviation Safety Act) in the drone special district for two days, September 29-30, succeeded in making 9 round-trip flights of a drone loaded with 10kg goods, for a distance of 1.5km, from Musucheon fueling station to Gwangryeong-ri gate-ball field.

In particular, the province applied the smart drone safety service-which was demonstrated last year-to Jeju Olle 1 Course, and started flight with the application of special flight approval regulation exemption, in order to resolve blind spots of CCTV and prevent crimes.

The province plans to officially launch the Jeju Drone Integrated Operation Center (tentative) within next month by establishing a control platform to stably operate drones and a safety platform linking CCTV and drone videos.

In addition, for the commercialization of drones, the province plans to cooperate with the Fire Department, the local police committee, and the Hallasan National Park management office to film an area in need of drone video and realize the functions demanded by such organizations.

The Jeju drone special zone will be in operation from July 29 this year to June 2, 2023 under the notice of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
