Yang Young-sik, Chief Of Health, Welfare and Safety Committee at Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council announced on February 7 that he proposed a bill 'draft ordinance on promotion of Jeju's MICE industry' as a representative to build a basis to support the MICE industry.

The proposed ordinance was prepared to systematically stipulate policies to support the MICE industry and support to attract and host, so as to establish a foundation for the MICE industry.

It aims to contribute to development of Jeju's tourism industry and revitalization of local economy, and establishment of global MICE platform that will lead future values.

The proposed ordinance will be put up for review of the 402nd provisional session of Culture, Tourism, and Sport committee on February 10.
