JEJU-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Jeju-do is set to invest KRW 49.3 billion in 27 specific projects of 10 key tasks for resources circulation including plastic recycling, among others.

Jeju made such decision in the 2nd Jeju resources circulation community committee to realize the vision of '2030 Waste Free Island Jeju'.

To realize the vision of resources circulation community by 2030, the province aims to achieve zero-landfill, 30% reduction of plastic waste generation, and 90% of recycling rate.

10 key tasks include 'implement the policy of depressing disposable plastic usage', 'reduce plastics in public institutions tourism sector', 'create resources cycling cluster', 'foster industreis through expansion of plastic recycling facilities', among others.

For this purpose, the province plans to select 27 specific projects, investing KRW 49.3 billion budget.
