Amorepacific Group on Friday announced the official inauguration of the Hannam Dawan O’Sulloc Tea Factory in Jeju.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the new facility in the Hannam Tea Fields in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo City.

The tea factory spans 23,000 square meters of land with a building area of 7,200 square meters. The facility is equipped with the capacity to produce 646 tons of O’Sulloc products annually and ship 86 million products per year.

Minsuk Cho, founder and principal architect of Mass Studies, designed both the interior and exterior of the O’Sulloc Tea Factory, which features a 165-meter-long, two-story south-facing structure with a circular movement system designed for visitor convenience.

“After completing the construction in September last year and undergoing a pilot operation phase, we are thrilled to hold the official inauguration today,” said a group official. “We aim to establish a one-stop production system that encompasses everything from green tea cultivation to processing and product shipping.”
