According to Yonhap News,

(Jeju=Yonhap News) Reporter Ko Seong-sik = Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 26th that it will implement the "4050 Employment Stability and Preemptive Job Support Measures" this year, which includes increasing subsidies for companies hiring job seekers in their 40s and 50s.

Companies hiring job seekers in this age group will receive KRW 500,000 per employee per month, a KRW 100,000 increase from the previous KRW 400,000. The limit on the number of supported employees per company has also been expanded from 5 to 10 based on company size. Consequently, a company hiring 10 job seekers in their 40s and 50s can receive up to KRW 5 million per month.

The health industry, including private clinics, is also eligible for this support if they hire job seekers in the 40-50 age bracket.

Additionally, Jeju Province will provide support for 300 individuals through public works projects, 300 through the "4050 Work-Life Balance Support Project," and 900 through the "Construction Industry Worker Employment Stability Project."

The province plans to support the stable employment of middle-aged workers for up to four years by linking these measures with the "Regional and Industrial Customized Job Support Project," a public contest project by the Ministry of Employment and Labor set to begin in May.
