According to Yonhap News,
Greenland Group, China's state-run corporation, held a groundbreaking for Jeju Healthcare Town on Tuesday.
"If established, Jeju Healthcare Town is expected to attract more Chinese tourists to Jeju. We will make successful history of establishing partnership between Korean and Chinese companies," said the President of Greenland Group.
The Chinese company, included in the world top 500 companies, will invest 1 trillion won to build a 778,000 square meter-Green Resort in the 1.529 million square meter-Jeju Healthcare Town.
Green Resort will include a R&D center and leisure, culture and accommodation facilities.
In the first stage of the project, Greenland Group will spend 200 billion won to build a membership resort by 2014 via its Korean affiliate Greenland Korea Investment Development. In addition, the China's state-run corporation will establish the wellness mall, well-being food zone, healing garden, medical R&D center and anti-aging center.
Greenland Group, Shanghai-based real estate developer, ranks 87th in China's corporate evaluation.
