According to Yonhap News,
The 1st Wind Energy Asia 2013, co-hosted by Jeju and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and co-organized by the Creativity Institute and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), is scheduled to be held at the International Convention Center in Jeju from February 24 to 26.
About 1,000 people from domestic and overseas members of the GWEC and 60 wind power companies will attend the event.
On the first day of the event, Secretary General of GWEC Steve Sawyer, Chairman of the Korea Wind Energy Association Lee Su-gap and others will present their country's wind power industry and discuss how to further facilitate Korea's wind power industry.
Next day, representatives from Korea, Denmark, China, Germany and the U.K. will demonstrate the current technology trend and future direction of offshore wind energy.
Korean participants will include Samsung Heavy Industries, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and Korea Southern Power.
