Jeju announced that it will begin establishing a convergence ecosystem for the regional creative industry.

Jeju will organize the Jeju Creative Industry Forum with the Jeju Technopark to promote academy-industry-research-government cooperation for knowledge exchanges to identify and foster creative industries for Jeju.

It also plans to develop prospective industries and new business items which will drive the creative economy, and formulate futuristic vision and policies.

The forum will consist of about 50 industry experts, professors, company insiders and researchers from Jeju.

Quarterly meetings of the forum will be held, developing long-term development visions and policy measures to play a role of hub to foster creative industry.

Jeju will also hold discussion sessions with experts from the central and local government and national research institutes to share information and reinforce a central network.
