Jeju announced yesterday that Jeju will hold the 16th Leaders Convention and the Export Discussion Meeting April.

The Leaders Convention and the Export Discussion Meeting is annually hosted by the World Federation of Overseas Koreans Traders Association (World-OKTA) which has about 6,500 members with 121 offices in 64 countries.

About 500 World-OKTA CEOs and members gather to build a mutual network and exchange information on economic trends.

The event helps Korean small- and medium-sized companies to build a global marketing network, promote exports and diversify overseas expansion.

A Jeju official noted that the event will help Jeju companies to build a network with Korean businessmen overseas and penetrate overseas markets, adding that the meeting will create economic effect of about KRW 2 billion.
