The Jeju Convention & Visitors Bureau (Jeju CVB) announced yesterday that it attracted Russian incentive tourists at the IMEX America 2013.

At the exposition, which drew 1,867 companies from 146 countries and 2,004 buyers from 36 countries, Jeju CVB held consultations with major companies and travel agencies from the United States, Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.

Through the consultations, Jeju CVB attracted 150 Russian incentive tourists and 80 incentive travelers from Singapore.

The bureau also discussed measures to attract an international meeting of 500 attendees of a multinational company in Hong Kong, taking an advantage of a direct flight between Jeju and Hong Kong.

Jeju CVB noted that the participation in the expo will help to promote Jeju to the global MICE market and attract MICE events to the island.
