Jeju Awarded Top Prizes in “Korea Province 3.0”

(JEJU = Newsis) Jeju Speical Self-Governing Province (Jeju) was awarded four top prizes in the “Korea province 3.0 project contest”, according to an announcement of the province last week.

The province’s “big-data SMART tourism information service” was chosen the best project by the Ministry of Security and Public Administration (MOSPA) in the “Korea province 3.0” contest.

Jeju “tong” card, nation’s first card to provide preferential treatments to the alley commercial zones, was awarded the participation prize as it was nominated as the private-public cooperative pioneer project.

In November, the province’s “combined private company open recruitment” was awarded the prime minister prize in the MOSPA’s “2013 administrative system improvement project contest.”

The province will also be awarded the environmental minister prize at the end of 2013 for its contribution to expansion of distribution of electric cars and support for developing model cars in a bid to reduce the greenhouse gases emissions and improve atmospheric environment.

A few projects pushed ahead by the province were nominated as excellent cases in the national price stable management assessment in the fourth quarter.
