According to Yonhap News,
(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Jeju Air Co., South Korea's largest budget carrier, said Tuesday it will launch daily flights to Saipan from Incheon International Airport starting this week.
It said with the start of flights on Wednesday, Jeju Air will be the only South Korean airline company to fly to both Saipan and nearby Guam, located in the Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean.
The company started operating flights to Guam on Oct. 1, 2012.
Jeju Air said seven flights are scheduled each week for Saipan, adding that it will use its Boeing B737-800 passenger jets that can seat up to 189 people on the route.
Of the country's seven carriers, only Asiana Airlines Inc. has scheduled flights to Saipan.
"By offering more flights, Jeju Air is helping to expand the air travel market to the island," the company said.
