(JEJU=NEWSIS)Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced December 1 that it held a strategic joint venture fair in Beijing on November 25.

The fair included presentation on Jeju’s investment environment, presentations of the four participating Jeju companies, signing of a joint venture memorandum of understanding (MOU) and one to one business meetings.

The four local companies presented the competitiveness of their products and their growth potential and encouraged Chinese companies to invest in them.

China’s New Life Group and Jeju’s Urban Farmers signed an investment MOU to invest KRW 30 billion in the herb theme park, a new project of Urban Farmers.

New Life Group, based in Sunyang, has about 8,000 stores in China since its establishment in 1994. The company recorded sales of about KRW 800 billion in 2013 by selling cosmetics and other products.
