Jeju & Greenland Group Signs to Boost Exports of Jeju Products

(JEJU=NEWSIS) Jeju Special Self-governing Province and China’s Greenland Group signed a business agreement on December 18 to export Jeju products to China, following the Korea-China Free Trade Agreement.

Greenland Group agreed to increase the import of Jeju products from CNY 15 million (about KRW 3 billion) in 2015 to about CNY 250 million (about KRW 50 billion) within three to five years.

Also, the Group will expand import from primary processed food that have easy customs clearance to cosmetics, health functional food and fresh agricultural products.

Greenland Group will increase the number of its on- and offline stores by 2018 and provide Jeju products to its hotels.

The business agreement ceremony was attended by 30 people including Jeju Governor Won Hee-Ryong, Jeju officials, President Hwang Min-gang of Greenland Group Korea and staff at Greenland Group.
