(JEJU=NEWSIS) Landing Jeju Development Ltd., a joint venture between Genting Singapore PLC and Landing International Development Limited, held a groundbreaking ceremony to build Resorts World Jeju at the Jeju Myths and History Theme Park on February 12.

The participants of the groundbreaking ceremony include Jeju Province Governor Won Hee-ryong, Kim Han-wook, chairman of the Jeju Free International City Development Center, President Yang Zhihui of Landing International Development Limited and CEO Tan Hee Teck of Genting Singapore PLC.

“We support Landing Jeju Development Ltd., which strives to contribute to the development of our regional society and environment protection. We sincerely welcome Landing Jeju Development Ltd. and we believe that the Resorts World Jeju will increase the recognition of Jeju in the international community,” said Won.

Landing Jeju Development Ltd. plans to complete the construction of the Resorts World Jeju by 2019, which will include a theme park, Jeju’s largest waterpark, shopping malls and restaurants, a casino, Jeju’s first six-star hotel and MICE-industry related facilities.
