(JEJU=NEWSIS) Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it will find creative regional development projects in Jeju-si and Seogwipo-si by April 13.

The creative regional development projects are organized by the Presidential Committee on Regional Development and participants include the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.

The local governments will receive KRW 300 million per task to find the region’s potentials and create social, cultural and economic value added.

The projects can be anything that is related to the region’s typical resources including culture and arts, specialized resources, regional culture, history, tourism, sports events, ecological environment, green growth, lifelong education and residents’ welfare.
