According to Yonhap News,

(JEJU=Yonhap News) Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced June 16 that it plans to develop a complex transit center in the Jeju International Airport.

It is to build a large-scale transit system of public transportation with the Jeju International Airport as the center and the outdated Jeju comprehensive terminal, which was established in 1978, will be integrated and transferred.

The complex transit center will not only be for transit but also for commercial, cultural, business and accommodations purposes. Within 10 percent of the total project cost will be funded by the government and the national expense will cover about 50~70 percent of the installment cost for transit facilities.

The province will first review the methods of the project development including the public development, private development and public-private development and will decide the most appropriate one.

The province asked the Jeju Development Institute to establish the basic plan for the complex transit center by December.
