Jeonju City Develops 3D Printing, ICT and Drone Industries

According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) Jeonju City will develop the 3D printing industry that utilizes carbon materials, ICT industry that capitalizes on the state-of-the-art smart technology and drone industry that is high in demand.

To build the infrastructure for the 3D printing industry, the city will invest KRW 1.75 billion in opening a regionally specialized support center for 3D printing in March and KRW 12.5 billion in expanding the center into a comprehensive 3D printing center by the end of 2017.

The city will strive to not only develop 3D printing-based carbon convergence materials and equipment but also nurture skilled human resources.

For the ICT industry, the city will capitalize on the K-ICT device lab Jeonju Center to create an environment where potential entrepreneurs and venture capitals can develop smart products.

With the designation of Wansan park as the demonstration air space for drones in 2015, the city plans to develop the infrastructure to preocuppy the drone market.
