(GUNSAN=NEWSIS) Gunsan City announced February 24 that Chinese Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng visited the Gunsan Office and Saemangeum PR center in Yantai, China on February 23.

He and his group of 30 people showed interest in not only the Saemangeum region but also Gunsan City that conducts various exchange programs with China, according to the city.

Director Hwang Won-jin of Gunsan Office in Yantai asked Gao for his full support in capitalizing on the free trade agreement between Korea and China to help regional agricultural producers enter the Chinese market.

Gunsan City, which has established the Gunsan Office in Yantai last November, is proactively carrying out exchange programs with its 13 sister cities in China.
