(GUNSAN=NEWSIS) Gunsan City announced April 19 that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Sejong City and Sejong Creative Economy Innovation Center to develop the smart farm ICT convergence industry.

The agreement is to maximize the synergy effect between local governments by developing and expanding creative agriculture.

In order to nurture the smart industry, the agreement includes developing startups and venture capitals related to the advancement of smart farm technology; establishing a Gunsan branch of the creative innovation center to share success models of creative economy and enhance cooperation between regions; and increasing exchanges between public and private sectors.

"We will strive to create a new growth engine by applying the ICT convergence industry into our regional industries," said Gunsan City Mayor Mun Dong-shin.
