North Jeolla Province Opens Iksan Global Exchange Center

According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Education announced May 24 that it will hold an opening ceremony for the Iksan Global Exchange Center, a dormitory for foreign students, on May 25 at Wonkwang University in Iksan City.

The Iksan Global Exchange Center is jointly established by the Iksan City consortium comprising of Iksan City, Wonkwang University, Wonkwang Health Science University and Chonbuk National University, the Ministry of Education and Korea Foundation for the Promotion of Private (& Public) School.

Wonkwang University provided the land for the dormitory for free and the Ministry of Education, North Jeolla Province, Wonkwang University and the Korea Foundation for the Promotion of Private (& Public) School invested a total of KRW 8.6 billion in building the dormitory.

The Iksan Global Exchange Center, a five-story building with a basement, can hold up to 210 students. The dormitory fee (KRW 195,000/month) is also reasonable compared to other private dormitories.
