North Jeolla Center for Creative Economy & Innovation to Support IT Start-ups

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) The North Jeolla Center for Creative Economy & Innovation rolled up their sleeves to support the Smart Creation Center aiming to help IT start-ups newly setting up their businesses.

Following the initiative, 25 teams of the Smart Creation Center trainees will receive funds of up to KRW 5 million respectively to test their commercialization processes.

A team for verifying business models will select five teams by evaluating pilot production process and provide funds of up to KRW 50 million to start their businesses.

"Smart Creation Center is a representative start-up training program which allows citizens to turn their ideas into products, and ultimately to a business," said Kim Jin-soo, head of the North Jeolla Center for Creative Economy & Innovation. "We aim to provide systematic support so that North Jeolla can be an incubation center for IT start-ups."
