Iksan National Food Cluster Opens Service Center

According to Yonhap News,

(IKSAN=Yonhap News) A service center to support business operations and research activities of companies in the national food cluster, which is being built in Iksan City, North Jeolla Province, opened on December 7, 2016.

The opening ceremony was attended by around 250 guests, including government officials, lawmakers, and local residents.

The center was built on 52,675 square meters of land with a floor area of 28,705 square meters. Total investment for the facility was KRW 64.8 billion.




It will provide comprehensive services which include: policy planning and research for the food cluster and food industry; establishment and management of the food industry complex; attracting and supporting companies and organizations; promoting activities to facilitate operation of the food cluster; and marketing of the food cluster.

"North Jeolla and Iksan City will take responsibility to support the national food cluster," Iksan Mayor Jung Hun-yul said. "We will do everything possible to grow the national food cluster as the nation's best food industry complex."
